Two Ocean Creek in Wyoming flows into both the Pacific and Atlantic. The creek splits in two at a saddle on the Continental Divide:

Triple Divide peak in Glacier National Park is similar. One side falls toward the Pacific, one to the Mississippi River drainage eventually and one towards Hudson Bay.

Continental Divide

I visited one area of the continental divide when I was about 10 with my family. After the tour guide explained what it was, I asked my parents if I could pee on both sides to see it flow different directions.

Many of these facts wouldn't be nearly as amazing if we were taught geography with globes instead of pages in a book.

Yep. One look at a globe and it's easy to see Maine is closer to Africa than Florida.

Due to the 49th parallel being the US/Canada border there are two parts of the US that are cut of from the rest of the mainland. Point Roberts, Washington and Northwest Angle, Minnesota

The NW angle is also the most northern part of the contiguous lower 48 states

Dahala Khagrabari (#51) was an Indian enclave located on the Bangladesh–India border.......This was a piece of India within a piece of Bangladesh within a piece of India within Bangladesh, making it the only third-order enclave (or counter-counter enclave) in the world until 1 August 2015, when it was ceded to Bangladesh.

There's a spot in Pennsylvania that does basically the same thing. North side to the Great Lakes, east side to the Atlantic Ocean, south and west sides to the Gulf.

If you count the 4 corners, Louisiana and Utah are separated by 2 states.

But you'll have to pay the Navajo Nation at least five dollars to park and use that to cross from Utah to New Mexico.

Yeah, I need an explanation on this one.

I'm assuming the Chandeleur Islands are in St. Bernard. If not them, some other island (or territorial waters).

Isn't the marker about a mile from the real spot?

A triple divide I am familiar with is Woodchuck Mountain near the Village of Jefferson in Schoharie County, NY. Waters from it flow into all three great mid-Atlantic bays: New York Bay, Delaware Bay, and Chesapeake Bay.

And you can see both at the same time if you in an aisle seat on a plane leaving Panama City.

Wow- even closer than Cuba and the Bahamas?

What about Puerto Rico's proximity to other Caribbean islands?

Thanks. Thought I heard somewhere that the marker was wrong, but it literally can't be.
