So this all started about a month and a half ago. I’m eating breakfast with some of my friends and I get call from a random number. Normally I wouldn’t answer but I saw the 225 area code and figured it might be someone I know so what the hell.

The first thing I hear is an automated voice saying “you have a collect call”. I go to hang up cause frick that but at the last second I hear “From an inmate in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison press or say 5 to accept the charges” so naturally I press 5 and put that shite on speaker so my friends can listen. First call ends up being pretty anti climatic. Dude named Jr was trying to call his mama and had the wrong number. I told him he had the wrong number and he said “ahhh shite” and hung up the phone. Few hours later I get outta class, check my phone and I see I have a voicemail from the same number. I guess they only give them a few seconds to talk cause the whole thing was him saying “Annnnssssaaaa yaaaaaa phonnnnneeee”. And then didn’t hear from him for a couple of days.

Fast forward to the next Monday starting that week I’m getting calls from this dude everyday. I told him two more times he had the wrong number but I guess ya know you don’t get locked up cause your smart. I stopped answering for a week till I was with some of my friends who didn’t believe so I tried to answer but apparently you can only answer so many calls before you have to put money on an account and I wasn’t about to do that so I stopped answering. After like 2 weeks of not picking up I get this text.

He still calls me about every other day but I can’t answer cause I’m not paying money to talk some random dude I don’t know that’s in jail. So if any of y’all know a guy that goes by Jr and hadn’t seen him around lately he might need some help.

The Poster who found this was correct. Got in touch with someone else who knows the guy and they are going to get in contact with him and let him know he has the wrong number. I called the number that texted me before and at first they accused me of lying to them. Saying that I knew him and just didn't want to be involved. I explained to them that I'm a college student living in Jackson and that I haven't lived in Baton Rouge in the last 4 years. They finally believed me and gave me a number to call that would be able to help me. Another of his relatives that has more contact with him and is actually where he got my number from. This person had the number wrong and honestly I don't know how they didn't realize this after I've told them and they've talked to them since but they said they'd take care of it and let him know that he has the wrong number. Hopefully they get it all straightened out.
