You get the sandwich or you make a sandwich?

Both.

The sandwich they have on the menu is terrible I have no idea why anyone would order that thing.

I dont think the Kaiser roll is better than the toast by any means but the sandwich isn't terrible to me baw. I feel weird ordering the same thing every time I go to a place.

Popeyes has their sauce
CFLA has sauce
The Big Mack has it's own sauce

You see a pattern here?

Imagine my disappointment when I saw that their chicken "strips" are really chicken nuggets.

Exact opposite encounter for me (Walker, La), last week.

This chain is maybe the 4th best place to get chicken fingers around here. I don’t care for it that much, the breading isn’t good and the fries are average.

I won’t avoid it, but Guthrie’s, Huey Magoo’s, Waldo’s, Slim Pickins, some local places… are better. Zaxbys turned to crap a few years ago.

I had friends who worked at Bailey’s and would dress up in a chicken suit and taunt people going to Cane’s. Oh college, what fun times

Apparently Laynes from college station is expanding to other places in Texas. Not sure where. They say it is better than canes.

Gutherie's does the same thing but has added items over the years.

What does Guthrie’s have besides chicken fingers, fries and slaw?

Better diversify Todd. Time to buy the Saints.

Just don’t do anything stupid, like Al Copeland and buyout a competitor thinking you are going to build market share and it bankrupts the company, or try to slay a new side pieces while married leading to a revolving door of marriages, and get into an epic fight at Morton’s Steakhouse with a business rival.

Do you eat here often?

No. Their gains seems to come with their "newness" rush in new territories. Like "in and out". Got so much hype then comes to your area, and it dies out. Chasing that will end eventually.

I'm love crinkle fries, so probably the main reason I would go. But they've failed on making those well, just as much as they have with their chicken "nugget" strips.

A couple times a month one of visit my grandmas. Pickup up dinner/lunch. There's one near her, and usually canes was on the request rotation. I noticed she stopped suggesting it. I eventually asked her why, and she just said that it's not as good as it use to be.

To add..their catering is probably their biggest rev stream. Easy and quick and probably cheaper than CFA.

Regardless of what you think of the product, it’s pretty remarkable what he’s built.

Worked at one during college and they were good to workers and the crew is second to only chick fila in terms of service.
