Let us raise a glass to El Nino. May it demolish any and all tropical systems that dare venture into the Caribbean and Gulf in 2023!

Yeah the pattern suggests a stronger pacific jet stream which apparently brings more moisture or dynamics to encourage it

I seem to remember that El Nino makes hurricanes very uncommon, but huge bands of rain coming from west every other day.
