If there is one podcast you ever listen to it needs to be this one, especially if you remember Hurricane Katrina, as there is a very large segment on it.

I haven't listened to this one yet but Radiolab in general is an awesome podcast. I have been through about 4 years of the library (2011-2015). Tons of great stuff.

I had stopped listening to radio lab about a year ago because I felt like the quality of their podcasts had really gone down and it seemed like they were running out of new and original topics.

Im excited to listen to this one now. Thanks.

They had a number of misses recently while Jad was doing his side project More Perfect, but I believe that has concluded. This one has put them back on track.

Radiolab might be the best podcast out there. I'm a bit behind now but have listened to most of them at least a couple of times.

The only podcast that is in the same league IMO is Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. His series on WWI (Blueprint for Armageddon I-VI) gets my vote for the best I've heard yet, and everything else of his I've listened to is excellent as well.

Freakonomics is another good one.

Do you recommend listening to them in order from the beginning or can I randomly listen to episodes that peak my interest?

I was a weekly listener, but Jad began to do too many music related segments. It turned me off for a while.

Randomly pick, unless there are different parts, which isn't often. All topics are different. The rhino hunter is also a great one I recommend.

Him being flabbergasted that people believe Affirmative Action is discriminatory was jaw dropping for me. I wanted so bad for someone to say that 2 wrongs don't make a right. I told my wife that it would be like because sodomy was illegal for so long, we should allow gay sex to take place in public.

Brings back bad memories.

I wasn't involved in anything as bad as the hospital but I learned during Katrina that the government was a soulless machine.

We took in a greyhound full of 50 evacuated nursing home patients and a smaller bus with 12 of their more delicate people.

I went in to triage the smaller bus with the sicker people and found one dead and one almost dead.

DHH is terrible.

They came and interviewed me later going after the license of the nurse that was in the smaller bus with the dead lady even though she was hot as a skillet and had just died.

These DHH stormtroopers came in and wrote us up heavily a month later for not having the completed admission assessments done for all of the evacuees which take 3 hours a piece. Most of them were done but they didn't care.

They didn't care about the air mattresses we had slept on in our offices for a couple of hours while being up 30 hours, they didn't care about our heroic efforts and our compassion.

Government robots.

They only cared about the paperwork.

I've never trusted humanity since, lol.
