Not Cannonballing or anything, but the sudden 45 to 25 drops with a local inbred with a badge looking for his $200 is enough to warrant a backup.

(That sounded kinda bitter, huh? )

Uniden also makes a nice system

That's what I have. Uniden plus running waze is pretty effective for extended interstate travel.

It's not fool proof though. Even having the detector and waze app I only go about 10 mph over. It's nice to have a heads up and tap the brakes. No sense in doing 95 in a 70.

Nowadays Waze gets it done without all that stuff.

Not even close baw. OP, I've been running a Valentine 1 for years. It has saved me a ton of times. There are much better detectors out now. I never got into the jammer game.

Agreed mostly, but I still like a radar to run as well but Waze is pretty good.

Also try out the HeyBrah voice

That didn’t happen. Do you know how a laser jammer works? I’d bet $100 you don’t.

Do you know how to read? I explicitly put "Radar" in bold.

The incident happened at Newark. It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, he had a jammer and ended up causing the ILS to be faulty when he drove past.

Active radar jammers are illegal transmitters according to the FCC. I don't give a shite what you do, but I don't use them because there are effectively 0 traffic cops on the roads I drive.

Edit: It was a GPS jammer. My mistake. He was fined $30k. LINK
