There's no law against someone speaking their feelings as long as it's not threatening someone or followed by an action that would be taken as a threat.
Would it make you feel better if there was a dress code or a hair code? No shoes, no shirt, no service, does that bother you? Where's the line that needs to be drawn? What if I said you have to make over a certain amount of income to step foot in my establishment?
I'm not directing this at you but to people in general. What if bikers that wear the same jacket are refused entry because of their jacket? There is no race or other type of issue you there. What if I decide people that speak a certain accent bother me and I don't want them in my store? It could be one person or a group.

She did serve him, so no law was broken. I don't know if the customer claimed the waitress was breaking the law. But if she did she is wrong. The waitress Is entitled to her racism. Sadly, in LP, it will probably increase business .

It is a slippery slope. But "whites only" was literally outlawed more than a half century ago. Of course, that was not legally the case in this incident

They might, but I bet they love their tanf, snap, wic, etc. when it comes in.

I don't have FB but have been to many watering holes where they prefer to not have black folks and make it known. If there's Hank Sr. Yelping on the juke box, rebel flags hanging, and in the middle of no where it's prob not a great idea for a brotha to enter. I don't own any of these fine establishments but just giving my input. I mean how much fun could it be to walk into a bar filled with white people who dont want you there?! It goes both ways. My home town has "black" bars that I've never and would never step foot in because I know the end game is me being beat down for being a white baw.

I'd have sat my black arse there all night making her serve me all my drinks and even give her a nice little tip at the end.
Feel like there is racist joke here- nevermind joke was done page 3
I can't see Facebook but nothing about the LP surprises me. I wish we quit shaming racist so they wouldnt go into hiding and it was easier to know who not to do business with

Folks, I have been there a few times and actually know the owner. She is a grade A bitch to everyone. Black, white or whatever, even her staff. royal bitch but her bars succeed for some reason.

I'm not sure any firms in Baton Rouge want this type a person working in their firm if she passes the BAR
Why, because she spoke out against racism? I actually thought Jade was very calm all things considered. Jade has great grades and has worked at some of the top firms in Baton Rouge. She won't have any problems. Nice try to smear her though.

Sounds like you love your ignorance just as much.

Idt that this was an attempt to smear her? I agree that if this really catches some traction the publicity may work against her. I dated a young attorney yrs ago and after a few social events with the partners of the firm I quickly realized that there were no blacks working there for a reason. I was exposed to more racist conversation there than around any camp fire or good ole' baw gathering.

This. I went once and was made to feel unwelcome.

Saw this in an accounting firm. Partner more blamed it on what would clients say. Guy I respected too was floored to find that out.

Gravy ain't got the balls to talk shite in LP. Most blacks are scared to death to even drive through LP on I-12.

You can knight all you want. I'm just saying what's likely to happen grades or not.
Do you remember that young doctor in Florida who treated an uber driver like shite? She got fired. There's countless of other stories like that.
If she's proud of her stand against racism in the LP then she should use this on her resume when trying to get a job. I'm saying that a lot of people aren't going to hire someone that secretly records conversations and tries to stir up racial tensions in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. I don't care if you're at the top of your class or not.

I am not defending that bitch at all when I say this but.. when I was attending her establishment in St. Helena parish close to my house, she had several black customers. Day shift old men types

You do realize that you can be on the dole from either the state or the federalles and yet not trust them as far as you can throw them, right?
People accept handouts from hands they don't trust every day. You think that all the homeless folks at St Vincent De Paul in downtown BR are Catholics?
