I think this dude is in for a rude awakening regardless.
It doesn't matter what 2 financial advisors say, it's a relatively simple math equation as to whether or not he has enough to retire. And the math says he is about to take a ~80% pay cut even after accounting for his milli lump sum pension benny. That is a tough scene.
