Questions for fellow contact wearers

Havent worn them in years (they actually corrected my eyesight) but when i did...

3. Once or twice then i realized why it was a bad idea. Yes it irritates them


You will get used to touching your eye. I can still do it now.

Never. Has been maybe a few times where Ive fallen asleep away from my solution and case, like at a friends or forgot it when staying overnight and just said screw it.

This also all depends on which type you have. Like the daily or the ones where you can wear them for a few weeks before removing.

Are you not supposed to be able to..??

Some new contact users are apprehensive about poking around their eye with a finger at first. Just letting him know that odd feeling goes away fairly quick

I have kind of an oddball brand, can't remember the name but they are much bigger in diameter than most and have been using them for around 18 years

1. Supposed to be 90 days but I just go until they become a little uncomfortable or they get lost/ripped/etc (usually what happens). Contacts are expensive

2. Not exactly sure but a long damn time. Over a year I'm sure

3. Almost never. When I have it's been bc I'm staying somewhere and don't have solution. They feel terrible the next day, eyes really dried out, irritated, and just seem tired in general as the day goes along

1) 1.5-2 months unless one is torn or I'm having issues.

2) probably around 3 months. Take them out and clean about once a week, or when foggy.

3) every night. It does not irritate mine. I can't stand waking up blind.


I started wearing contacts when I was about 13. I also picked up very bad habits due to being a lazy adolescent. Almost twenty years later my prescription is -6.75 or something like that. There is a permanent indentation on my eyes where my contacts sit.
