The upper crust people don’t starve. I 100% believe the lower half of society are left to fend for themselves.

Even the UN says 40% of NK’s population is undernourished.

this is a pretty interesting video to watch where a bbq joint in south korea got some defectors, gave them bbq, and had them talk

LINK

they basically said they almost never eat meat and it boils down to being a) an economic issue as the amount of rice theyd have to trade for a single serving of meat doensnt make practical sense and b) the government and military comes and takes it all and creates an environment where eating meat outside of VERY special occasions is looked down upon by society

like one of the people in that video says eating cows is essentially illegal, outside of when the cattle is literally dying and has no value is a labor animal, because they dont have enough industrial capacity so they need cattle to do manual labor

What about when Yeonmi’s Mom says that they never experienced starvation “in that way”, and then says “she(Yeonmi) learned a lot about NK defectors” from the South Korean TV show. And goes on to say that Yeonmi asked her mom if “they(other defectors) were lying about their experiences in North Korea”?

I’m not saying she is lying, I hope she isn’t because it’s a really messed up thing to lie about.

But look at the money propping her up. And then add her inconsistency, and there is reason for legitimate suspicions.

On one hand, I find it hard to believe that Rogan would have brought an imposter on the show.
It is truly amazing that so many people think Joe Rogan is the bastion of journalistic integrity.

Relatively speaking, he has way more integrity than just about all mainstream media, and I don’t consider him a journalist.

Again, truly amazing that this is where we are as a society.

It's entirely possible that North Korea sucks so much arse that we can't even comprehend how much arse it sucks

Therefore, some western brains (of commies) think it's nonsense

Most people don't doubt for one second that North Korea is hell on earth. I think most people doubt her story because it seems like she is getting paid to claim America has a lot of similarities to it

I don't fault her for finding a way to make a nice living.

The appeal to authority crowd shouting "look she's from North Korea so she knows America is headed that way" is just dumb. I wouldn't trust a 12 year olds memories of how great growing up in Southern Alabama was either.

At least 150 countries would have to jump us for us to be near North Korea in terms of freedom and liberty

I agree with you.

All I’m saying is Rogan doesn’t typically have guests on who tell some bullshite story, conspiracy theories aside.

In this case, I think he got taken.

Everything she says is in line with what we already know.

One thing to remember about Rogan, is that just because he has someone on, it doesn’t mean he agrees with them. It’s the same as like Larry King back in the day, he would have all sorts of people with different views on, of course he didn’t agree with all of them.

I didn’t start listening at the beginning but I made it about 7 minutes and then the skeptical hippo eyes were so big flies were landing in them. That’s what got me looking into it, and the interviews with her and her mom on the South Korean talk show are a complete show stopper. She is a fraud. Doesn’t mean North Korea isn’t an authoritarian state that commits atrocities

Deep plant spy. She gonna getbunch of Twitter followers and a blog and then you gotta "accept" cookies for to read her fashion article. Those cookies gonna be deep planted in software for a few months tracking your every move. Then she will disappear and operation Park will commence and infect us all virtually.

My point is the upper 1% would get the food and they wouldn’t let the lower 99% know about it. I’m pretty sure Yeonmi would agree with me on that.
Privately, probably yes, publicly she would say she was eating locust and wild honey like she was John the Baptist.

Look libtard, we know North Korea is fricked up, who doesn't? Does it really matter that much if this chick's story isn't entirely true?

This sounds a lot like "it started a conversation".

It absolutely did. OweO, brings more to this board than you and me combined. It’s a good thread and exposed a complete fraud.

Joe Rogan and Tim Dillon are the go to names in investigative reporting these days.
