When you go to driving school, do they not teach you what the left and right lanes are for on multi-lane highways?

In the spirit of spreading valuable information, I'll let all of you know that the left lane is for faster traffic and passing. If you want to cruise 5 mph below the posted speed limit, get in the right lane.

They don’t teach this to the Asians and Mexicans though

They're just not accustomed to only having two lanes to drive in.

Texas drivers are a LOT better than Louisiana drivers on average. In rural areas you still have drivers who don't know how to drive on a multi lane road. Also with in the influx of illegals in Texas there is more dumb drivers.

I drive extensively in Texas and I know that the roads and drivers are better than Louisiana and it's not even close.

I’m not sure why the board is convinced this problem is unique to Texas.

How about you leave earlier and follow the law and stop speeding?

It's not unique, it's way more prevalent in TX drivers

Texas drivers are far superior to what I have encountered in the upper Midwest in this regard. They just never met a speed limit that they felt was agreeable.

Live in Texas. Can confirm. People here have no concept of the passing lane.

Yet my car insurance was much cheaper when I lived in Texas as compared to Louisiana.

It’s only idiots in Prius and vans that drive under the speed limit in the left lane here in DFW.

The problem is this will have you blowing past cars on I-10 in Louisiana.

The Asians and Mexicans really do drive slow and do like to occupy the left lane. Otherwise there’s no difference in Louisiana and Texas drivers.

The sabine river is a weird border

LA drivers on the Texas side slow in left
TX drivers on the LA side slow in left lane.

It's like we are trying to piss each other off and send our worst drivers to each others states

This board shits on TX every opportunity it gets. Did you see the Austin vs New Orleans thread?
