I've been working out and sticking to a pretty strict diet for about 6 weeks or so, but here is my question. How many carbs per day do you try to stick to?

Yesterday I ate kind of bad and ate about 60 carbs, but the day before I ate well and only had 16 carbs all day and I average probably 25-40/day. I am burning way more calories than I'm taking in everyday. I am usually around 1000/day because a lot of the food I like anyway is low calorie.

Please school me in what I am doing right/wrong and instill in me some more wisdom.

You need about 800-1000 more for starters

You only eat 1000 calories a day? Does Nike still lock the doors on yalls sweatshop during working hours?

Are you listing these carbs in grams?

Averaging 25-40 a day is on the verge of ketosis.

If you're trying to lose weight aim for a gram of protein per lb of body weight. Set your fats to 0.4-0.6 grams per lb of body weight and fill out the rest with carbs of your choice.

Last 3 days:
840 calories
880 calories
1400 calories

I haven't been hungry during this time.

I don't really like red meat so I mainly eat fish/chicken and green vegetables. The foods that I like to eat just are low calorie I don't necessarily try to do it on purpose.

I have this. It tells me 150g of carbs/day. This seems really high which is why I asked.

The research I've done indicates 1.4 g / kg of protein is the optimal amount during a bulk. Any more and leucinine content increases in your urine indicating excess protein.

I'm short only about 5'7" and weight about 185, but very broad shouldered. I weighed 170 in high school and was in great shape. Year round athlete so I would say that's the lowest my weight could get.

You're going to burn a lot of fat. You will also lose muscle if you keep it up for too long.

If you're keeping your carbs per day at 25-50g you're going to shred up. Just know when to stop and go back to maintenance.

If you're trying to lose weight (I'm just making an assumption) start getting active, you don't need to jump in the weight room, start playing sports or even run in the evenings.

Download myfitnesspal like others have said and aim for 1600-1700 calories a day and see what you're body weight does in a week or so.

It's not. That only equates to 600 calories which would be a 1/3 of your daily intake.

Where would you recommend I get the extra calories from? Like I said I really don't ever feel hungry and don't know how much more I can eat. I'll eat a cheese stick for a snack which has some calories. I don't eat breakfast so could adding something like a cheese stick during breakfast be good? I honestly am not going to get up to cook eggs or anything like that so not really an option.
