We typically work on our cursive and calligraphy for 10 minutes each every day but only after we have finished our abacus lesson for the day

My 8 year old wanted to learn, we got her a practice book off of Amazon, she loves it.

Yes, mine can... he's 14. They teach it in St. Tammany schools.

My son is 19. When he was in elementary/middle school, they were not teaching script. I was shocked when he told me they did not teach it. He signs his name in script but pretty much writes everything else in print from what I've seen. However, since them, they began teaching it again because both of my daughters (15 and 17 - no pics you perverts) have very nice script handwriting. All were/are in St. Tammany schools.

all those times you're signing a receipt or some pinpad at the doctors office, it's worthless. You could sign Donald Duck if you wanted to and it would make no difference.

I just put a line 99% of the time.

To my knowledge, your signature is your mark. An "x" should suffice. An unreadable scribble works for me, a lot.

Sometimes a legible signature is a bad thing.

Script is no longer taught in school at all according to my grand daughter .

Your granddaughter’s school sucks. My kids learned it in the 3rd grade and it’s still part of the curriculum at the school today.
