Question for SnapChat users?

How can you tell if someone is sending you a direct snap or if that snap is being sent to a group of people? I don't wanna be a weirdo and comment on every snap if it's not being sent directly to me. Though I'm pretty sure they are. Thanks

Technically purple means it has audio and red means it has no audio.
and blue just means it was a chat. If its blue it was sent to only you, but that doesnt mean that red/purple werent sent only to you. They just werent sent via the private chat.

What's the deal with all these random friend requests I'm getting? I wouldn't allow Snap access to my contact list so it's not my friends. Is it just spam or just people trying to build their follower list?
