Question for OT dentists

I chipped off part of tooth no. 1. The chip is from the top-back of the tooth. I'm not experiencing any pain at all. Can I wait a couple of weeks before going to the dentist or will I do more damage to the tooth merely by waiting?

You will not likely damage your tooth more, but I would recommend seeing your dentist asap to prevent possible gum damage or root damage. You may think you're ok, but you're not the professional. Hope this helps.

You can wait, especially if no pain.

I’d go in tomorrow morning

The way I'm approaching this is similar to getting a chip in your car windshield. The longer you wait, the more likely a larger crack will form. I've had this on my front tooth before and got it fixed within a few days and was fine. They just put some sealant and sand it down

Walt spent two years in dental school before dropping out after hitting the lottery. I would do what he says. Thanks Walt for chipping in (pun intended).

Teeth are tough as hell...I wouldn't even worry about it. Just rub some dirt on that shite and go on with your life.

Age? Do you drink Dr Pepper, sweet tea, or Coke every day?
#1 is a wisdom tooth
I'd guess it chipped from decay
Dentist, yes

If the rest of your teeth are nice and you care about that sort of thing, go get it fixed.
If you have meth mouth, disregard.

I’m sure it won’t hurt you until Friday night.
