Question about push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups...

Can one get "buff" by just doing these exercises?
My buddy Kalunda (not his real name) stopped by my house last night to return my Tivo and borrow some toilet paper. We hadn't chatted in a while, so we grabbed some beers and went out to the back patio.
He told me that he is starting some Navy Seal upper body workout doing just pushups, situps and pullups. He said he bought one of those big pull-up bar contraptions for his den. He read that he can get buff by just doing variations of these exercises. Is this true?
I made of a copy of the routine, to check it out. I don't really have a good place for a pullup machine, and I don't care for those bars you stick in a door frame. I wouldn't mind one for outside, but I haven't really done the research.

Bo Jackson said he never lifted weights in his life Chicken.
Just did his "Ups"
So you too can look like Bo.

Try Hershel Walker too (one of them anyway)

herschel walker said he did like 1200 pushups and situps a day

He's doing the perfect pullup and the perfect pushup. When you buy the perfect pullup, it comes with a pretty good simple pullup bar setup i think. If you stick with it, i think you'd be surprised at the results.

quote:Same with Herschel Walker. Although, I think we need to keep in mind that Chicken is caucasion and that sometimes plays a role in that.

That's all Herschel Walker used to do and he was pretty buff. Of course each of his personalities was doing a workout each day so.....

so how is the workout p90 thing going?
I'm having it pirated. It won't be long before I try it out. Or have you given up on it?

you could, just alot of them. You wont look like a navy seal. They do a little more than push ups and sit ups
