I know for a fact that someone was arrested for DWI over the weekend in Shreveport, but they dont show up on the city or parish jail website. With enough pull, can that be kept out of the public record?

How much pull do you think they have? Politician? Pastor?

So if you post bail immediately you don't show up in the system? Interesting.

Typically everything is removed from the site once an individual is released. This is done to prevent the private booking photo mining sites from downloading it and holding people hostage to have it removed for minor offenses.

You can still get it via a public record request if you really want it.

That doesn't mean they were booked into jail. They might have just left him in a holding cell to sober up and let him bail out the next morning and given a court date.

Likely where cut a summons, entered onto AFIS and released on bond

Here it takes a couple of days for it to be posted online.

Also, you can check court records.

If I ever spend at least one night in Shreveport, I’d assume that there’d be a mug shot as part of the process.

The word “Shreveport” is derived from the Choctaw phrase “Tsch jer rif purt” meaning “a place to avoid”.

Could have been issued a summons and not booked into jail. If booked, the sheriff only posts the pics on his site of inmates currently in the jail. Not sure of city's policy. If someone has posted bond and gone home (as most DWIs do immediately), they are no longer listed on the sheriff site.

If booked, their mugshot and booking info is available to the public. You'd have to ask for it. The Inquisitor tabloid newspaper always runs the mugshots and arrest info for all arrests by the city and sheriff.
