As someone mentioned, if the system can't be replicated, the data will be questioned. The problem with using this theory on organic beings is that an atomic breakdown of living tissue would kill the organism. Deconstruction then Reconstruction of a person is not viable with the current light particle teleportation.

As I suspected what they really did was make a Bose-Einstein condensate. It really is something of a breakthrough that they did this with such a large sample but you can only make this happen at a tiny fraction of a degree above absolute zero. It's precisely because they are so cold that the wave function can "smear out" like that.
So no, this will not lead to anything like teleportation.

Uhh this is a dumb comment. His skepticism in the 1930s about the completeness of quantum mechanics was "stupid bullshite" for what reason? The EPR paradox wasn't resolved until 1964, well after Einstein was dead.
Physicists did not cling to everything Einstein said like it was a quasi-religion. There was great debate and discussion and competing ideas about how to interpret and understand quantum mechanics.
If you're talking about pop culture, then I'd say that the vast majority of laymen have no clue what they're talking about when discussing the history of modern physics.

seems like instead of trying to make a case for some form of universal subatomic cognizance you could just look at it as physics. particles are reacting to the presence or absence of other forces.
in the example the guy gives of the two hydrogen atoms it isn't as though the electrons sit down and negotiate the way they are going to share an orbital, which one is going to move in with the other. when they "come together" their natural repulsion will force them into a new mutual orbit that is virtually certain to be different from either electron's previous state.
same thing applies to his copper example. there isn't some leader electron telling the other ones to all get in line behind him. the forces of repulsion and attraction are working on and between all the particles constantly, so any orbital gap will tend to be filled and any excess saturation will be vacated.
