Quantum experiment suggests teleportation is possible.

Mind boggling.
Physicists use 'quantum quirk' to make a cloud of atoms exist in two places at once
Researchers claim to have created atoms that existed in a quantum state known as superposition in two different locations at the same time. In the image above the two atom clouds created in the experiment show (a) were found to be composed to two seperate wave forms (b) that existed simultaneously.

The laws of standard physics dictate an object can't be in two places at once, but the researchers have exploited a quirk of tiny particles that exist in the quantum world, and applied this to atoms.
Their breakthrough raises the prospect of being able to send not just information but perhaps even 'recreate' physical objects over large distances in a form of teleportation.

Wonder if this is similar to the deal with light waves existing in two possible scenarios at once. Sounds similar.

How long until we find out there was a 'data error' or something else that throws the results out the window?

you should read about the Pauli exclusion principle...It is mind blowing.
In all the matter in the universe no two electrons can occupy the same quantum state, the implication being every atom in the universe has to communicate thru some unknown medium at much faster than light speeds with other atoms at the opposite side of the universe to insure that no two electrons can have the same quantum properties.
and this is experimentally proven thru measurements of the quantum states of 'entangled particles'

I think it's pretty well agreed upon now that the quantum world does not abide by physics as we know them. Many experiments in quantum mechanics have shown particles defying the laws of physics.

the question is: can it be replicated. peer review will only put a light on so much. replication will be the gold standard on this one. if there's a fail to replicate, or the questions about their data get complicated, we'll see the pre-emptive 'data error'.

I don't think you'll ever be able to teleport anything living without killing it, because theoretically you'd have to "rip" the being apart into millions of atoms and beam it to another location, then have it reassemble. It may be possible to teleport inanimate objects though

The Pauli exclusion principle does not say that no two electrons in the universe can have the same quantum state. It says that no two electrons in a single atom can have the same quantum state. That's a big distinction.

I think they're suggesting a duplicate can theoretically exist in 2 different locations at the same time.
