Chinos and jeans are essentially the same garment, except that chinos use a finer, higher quality thread where jeans use a coarser thread. Chinos are therefore more breathable, cooler, and more comfortable. As such, chinos are superior to jeans in every application that doesn’t require extreme resistance to tearing.

Those absolutely are skinny jeans. The opening of the leg looks about the same as the opening of your shoe, maybe a little bigger. You have bird legs and they are only a little loose. If I wore those, it would be tight like spandex around my calves and no way my thighs would even fit.
