No, it merely made me question your motive. You came in here to bash those who recline seats and yet had no valid argument as to why people shouldn’t.

This would be more of a height issue Doucheman. Fat people would probably spill over the sides.

Oh wait...you quoted an article from “the thrillest” about plane etiquette
My bad

You do realize that economy legroom has shrunk by nearly 33% over the past decade, right? You're wrong. Go sit back down.
I find this true on United flights more than anything. Their seats on most flights don’t allow much extra room for knees

It wasn't my intention to bash anyone. I was asserting that I think the OP is right in that an unwritten rule has more or less developed around the issue of reclining. There was no criticism in my post, therefore no reason for you to be threatened by the idea.
The reason the unwritten rule (of which I am a proponent, yes) has developed is that legroom is (more and more) limited in economy. Yes, you have the right to recline, but you should be aware of the fact that you are causing discomfort to others. That's why I only recline when I am basically forced to by the person in front of me.
It is not a matter of your rights as a passenger, it is a matter of courtesy. For example, I have the right to not rinse out the sink in the bathroom when I'm done. But I do it as a courtesy to the next person who uses it.

I’m not sure if this thread is awesome or trashy or awesomely trashy

There should be no discomfort, and to others. If there is, it says more about them, than the person reclining their seat.

Courtesy my arse. The seat reclines by a few inches. If that is bothersome to people then pay for the extra seat room.

You're being obtuse.

I feel like this statement sums you up pretty well, Dusty.

Your generalization was as big a fail as was your attempt at humor. Sorry, but it's true.

Despite the good thing we once had, you've become a bit boring to me now so I'm gonna have to start seeing other people. I'll never forget the good times though.

I was never really taught "etiquette", I formed my own by watching people and thinking " I should probably not do what a ______ would do"
EX: Career criminals would more likely vote democrat or republican......I should probably vote opposite of career criminals.
Would an inconsiderate hillbilly more likely push his chair back?
