Way behind on this thread so prob already stated.

The worst part about someone reclining is when you want to use the tray table for a laptop. Other then that it sucks for like 45 seconds, then you dont even notice.

If it’s such a small distance, then don’t recline your seat. After all, it’s just two inches, right?

That argument cuts both ways. Those two inches are clearly a big deal to the person reclining their seat.

One of the few redeeming qualities of Spirit and Frontier airlines. "Preclined" seats as they say. Can't move them, and it makes a 28" pitch seat feel just as spacious as American or Delta's 31" pitch when someone reclines.

I fly almost every week. A lot of people recline their seats including me.

It doesn't bother me if the person in front of me reclines their seat. The part where my knees touch doesn't recline - at least that is the case on Delta planes.

This. I honestly don't even notice or care.

You aren't getting quality work done on a 17" laptop anyway even if they had decent wifi.

Short flights with a tall guy behind me I absolutely will not push it back.

Long flight with a smaller person? I'm leaning back.

I just casually look back and if the guy sitting behind me has reclined all 2 inches, I do likewise.

Eh, 2 inches can be quite a difference when trying to sleep and for the angle of your back.

Much different than something simply 2 inches closer to you.

I always recline. If you don't like it go sit in business or 1st class then you don't have to deal with it.

And if I wanted your head in my lap so I could stroke it and whisper sweet nothings to you, I'd have bought you a slice at Sbarro in the terminal first.

Well dumbass, if you recline yours as well, wouldn't it move you an equal distance away from his reclined head?

Problem solved

And as far as your physical issues with your lega..plan better and buy the seat with additional leg room, or buy first class.

You're the problem!

This is not a brag thread, but I am platinum with AA, so I typically either fly First or at a minimum MCE. On the off chance I sit in regular economy, I will push my seat back and the person can kiss my arse. I do not mind if the person in front of me does either.

I don't think you'll be able to get me over your knee for a spanking. I'm 6'5" tall and the whole reason I'm back in steerage with you is because there are no more seats with better leg room available on the plane. But, if you wanna wrestle me to try, though, let's go for it. I'm going to win unless the air marshal asks us to stop.

That isn't true though, there are a multitude of airlines and seat options (exit row for example) which feature extra leg room.

It's not my fault they don't make enough room for me. I'm 6'3, not exactly a giant.

Hopefull the people behind me complain about it to the airline. It's 100% their fault.

God forbid make yourself comfortable. You sound like a SJW

Recliners make themselves comfortable at the expense of the person behind them. It's not their fault, it's the airlines for packing the seats in so tightly, but it still is the recliner stealing comfort from the person behind them. I'm taller and the person in front of me reclining makes my tray table much less useful.

Again, it's the airlines that have created this zero sum game, not the passengers, but don't pretend that people courteous enough to not recline and think others shouldn't recline without some level of consideration for the person behind them are overreacting to nothing.

You could also say the people demanding no recliner are denying the people in front of them their full level of comfort. Also, its much easier to fall asleep with the small level of tilt as opposed to being fully upright. Everyone should recline, if they choose not to, it is their own choice to the benefit of the person behind them.

If i reclined and someone tall person tapped me on the shoulder and said it was crushing their knees or something i would happily oblige. If they made some demand or started kicking my seat, they can get fricked.

I think Spirit Airlines doesn't allow for seat recline. So anyone against comfort can opt for Spirit.
