Take a look at the Honda Ridgeline for a good daily driver. Great gas mileage and has a trunk under the bed. Better ride than most true trucks and cheaper. I don’t recommend it if your going off-roading, but it’s perfect for most drivers.

Ive driven all the major brands and IMO GMC has the nicest most comfortable ride. Fords have some cool interior features and Dodges fall apart on the inside.
