Public schools and mass shootings?? (Kind of long)

Had this theory pop up in my mind and wanted to get the OT's opinion.
As they say, there are only 2 things that are 100%...death and taxes. So no matter what, there will always be these deranged school kids doing these things.
But I was wondering how many of these mass shootings (let's say since Columbine) have happened at a Private High School?? From what I understand, it's been almost, if not all, at the Public schools.
I personally think it's 2 reasons.
One, if parents have to pay a lot of money to send their kids to school, rather than for free, they tend to be more invested in a child and are more involved in the child's life.
Secondly, it's expensive to send a kid to a private school....which means a lot (not all) private school kids come from a 2 parent household. And studies show children who come from a 2 parent family, tend to adapt to life/the world better than a single family home.
I don't have any kids yet, first one is on the way now, but it is something I brought up to my wife last night. She said she wasn't sure, but it is an interesting thought.
Opinions??

Which is what the search function is for. Also, frequent this board even less than you currently are.

This isn’t a gun problem. It’s a parenting problem.

I'd agree with you if all of the school shootings were in Louisiana public schools, but many public schools in other states are actually decent schools and affluent kids with 2 parents go to these schools as well. Columbine for example was a good public school with affluent kids.
Now, i'd like to see a correlation on gender. I'd say these shooters are almost 100% males. Why aren't girls going into schools and shooting the place up?

This. There are a ton of excellent public schools in this country. There are a ton of kids from affluent two parent households that attend these public schools. I would also add that just because parents can't afford private school doesn't mean that they aren't invested in their children's education.
A ton of two parent households can't afford private school for their children for a plethora of reasons. Maybe one of the parents stays at home with the children. Maybe they're teachers, police officers and other respected but not highly paid workers.

These shootings don't happen at inner city schools either because all those kids have guns

I agree. I know a ton of good people who went to public school. I live in the Dutchtown school zone, which is known as a decent public school zone.
But I am speaking in general terms.
