I was diagnosed with this 50 years ago. A good zinc supplement will do more good than anything else.

Hydrocortizone ointment (not cream) works ok and is cheap. Id be carefull with the Rx stuff and check the side affects. It is a steroid.

It does for me. Breakouts are a lot worse in the winter when i dont get sun and it is so dry.

Stress causes my psoriasis to flare up and the only commercial product that clears it up (for me) is Desonide, but obviously you can't use it too much.
I suspect psoriasis is connected to gluten and other inflammatory/auto-immune disorders like Crohn's disease.

Aren't UV rays supposed to help or am I thinking of something else? I seem to remember someone I know having it and laying in a tanning bed for about 10 minutes/day.
This is what my father in law does and it works for him. I've recently read that some people are having success with cutting wheat out of their diets

Buy a uv light. Make sure you read the instructions and research it all before you start. Life's going to suck for him ,he just needs to accept his fate

Back when I was a teenager playing sports, namely hockey, I had a pretty bad case: ankles, knees & elbows. Pretty much anywhere pads were rubbing constantly. During the summer it would clear up due to the sun light. Creams helped a little bit but I'm sure these days they have more advancements in that particular area than they did.
Can't stress enough how sun light would clear it up quick. Maybe try a tanning bed.
