Assuming you have a Driver's Ed sticker, I am more than okay with this. How else are you going to learn to be a good driver?
If you don't have a sticker or have any way of us knowing he/she is a driver's ed student and you pull this, different story.

Drivers ed vehicles can’t legally be on the road without decals to alert the public that it’s a student driver. The name of the driving school also has to be displayed. People who rage at these cars are a special kind of stupid.

I agree with OP. We should all be respectful of student drivers.
However, the instructor has responsibilities too. Don't drive down airline in the left lane when people are trying to get to work. Or, for example, if you are doing 10 under the speed limit and the road prohibits others from passing, occasionally pull over and let people pass. You as the instructor are responsible for a lot of the anger coming your direction.
