Strange, I don't recall this same vigilance against the now almost nightly street racing that happens on BR area interstates.

That’s an oddly specific number

Thank god I never moved my truck registration from MS. The inspection stickers here infuriate me to no end, even if I don’t have to personally deal with it. Just another corrupt way for this state to penny pinch a little more

Too bad they aren't there everyday at 5:00 to give tickets to all of the jackasses blocking the intersection because they refuse to wait another light cycle.

That intersection is a disaster from 4:30-5:30

I hate that it's an annual thing in Ascension Parish. On top of that.... I've seen shite on Airline Hwy that would get turned away at the junk yard, so HTF do they get an inspection sticker.

Registration and insurance are legitimate needs. Inspection stickers are nothing more than an obvious cash grab and an extra tax on "responsible people"

so why have an issue when they use inspection stickers as a way to find the people without insurance?

I see cops right past the douches with tires sticking out a foot past their fender, lifted trucks with headlights blinding everybody, hood rat cars with no functioning brake lights, missing mirrors and an endless list of things that are an actual safety concern. But god forbid a taxpayer in a 2024 Camry drives a car with an expired sticker. Instead of inspection sticker checkpoint they should be checking for proof of insurance.

Because inspection stickers shouldn't be a thing in the first place

Neither should inspection sticker checks on a busy highway at 7am

This will also result in 0 uninsured motorists getting insurance

That’s the second time in a month in that part of town. They were on E Perkins in front of Blue Bayou at the end of April. I guess it’s EBR getting money out of St George one way or another.
