It's traditionally one of the busiest travel weekends. You honestly thought you were just gonna roll up and get a spot?

I have flown three times this spring out of nola on random weekends. Each time all on-site lots have been full...had to race to the old airport and shuttle. It's a total cluster.

I read an article when it first opened of them bragging how the new airport has more spots, and the original garage can be used. Is the original garage full also?

I started a thread on this literally 5 days ago and got similar smartassy responses (I mean, it IS the OT). I booked some rinkydink horseshite offsite parking that I'm already betting will tell me they're full even though I have an emailed confirmation. My contingency is just to cancel the flight and drive.

BTW this is officially gonna be my final (attemted) flight outta NOLA, boys. The only real plus to flying out of that shithole is the option to fly direct but it's no longer worth it. For the rest of my natural life, I'll take my chances on connecting in Houston/Dallas/Atlanta and fly out of the nearly abandoned airport in BR until whenever I'm lucky to leave Louisiana forever. frick MSY.

This is from the airport's parking site. It's laughable to read but living here, nothing ever surprises me anymore:

With over 8,000 spaces and four different parking options to choose from, there is more than enough parking spaces available to meet the airport’s parking demand for coming years.

Pro Tip here-

1) Buy a Lexus from the Metairie dealership
2) Schedule service on vehicle for your trip dates
3) Vehicle stays at Lexus of Metairie during your trip
4) Profit
