Three Slidell residents are in jail after one of them called law enforcement to report he had been robbed while buying drugs, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
quote:
Stampley initially met up with Pearson around 7:30 p.m. in a Wal-Mart parking lot. The two men then rode together in Pearson's vehicle to a less visible parking lot off Airport Road to conduct the deal.
After reaching the lot, the sheriff's office said, Pearson dealt Stampley some Xanax pills. As Stampley was trying to pay Pearson, Pearson pulled out a gun and robbed Stampley of his cell phone and his wallet, which contained $350, according to the sheriff's office. Pearson also took back some of the Xanax he had just sold to Stampley, the sheriff's office said.
Stampley was arrested on a drug-possession charge for the Xanax he still had, the sheriff's office said.
Pearson was arrested Thursday morning (Jan. 19) after a St. Tammany Parish SWAT team found him at his mother's home on Rose Meadow Loop in Slidell. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail on one count of armed robbery.
quote:
While executing the arrest warrant for Pearson, deputies tried to detain a woman who "refused to cooperate with officers," according to the sheriff's office.
Alexis Parks, 19, was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail with resisting a police officer by violence and battery on a police officer.

Xanax is extremely addictive. Alcohol and benzos are the only two drugs you can actually die due to withdrawals.

I can give them a pass on calling the cops. Maybe they're trying to get a dangerous criminal off the streets. Looking out for their fellow man. But bruh, don't have the drugs on you when the cops show up.

Ok then maybe... Conspiracy to Distribute Schedule IV substance in the act of an Armed Robbery?
Btw, how the hell is Xanax a schedule 4 drug? Snippet from dea.gov site:
Schedule IV drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with a low potential for abuse and low risk of dependence. Some examples of Schedule IV drugs are:
Xanax, Soma, Darvon, Darvocet, Valium, Ativan, Talwin, Ambien, Tramadol

Better question is why Trams are sched 4

And steroids and testosterone are listed as schedule 3. The group who came up with the scheduling guidelines were definitely on some of these narcotics bc they are clearly all over the place.
