You would never be able to do anything to the satisfaction of the citizens.

sadly enough, there are people out there who will think this way and use it for an agenda

"He was a veteran who fought for our country," said Mohammed Tuffa, who says he was involved in the fight. He said police didn't need to use deadly force. "Pepper spray could have broken everybody out. Everybody would have been on the ground crying."
There's a lot of stuff in that paragraph right there.

If we had to put blame on someone, I guess I would put it on Washington. The gun doesn't seem to be all that secure. Well, it is secure if he isn't going to be rolling around breaking up fights, but when police come to a scene, sees a gun fly out and someone goes to grab it. What are they suppose to think? "Let me wait to see if he shoots people first".
Eh, if my gun went flying out during a scuffle, my first reaction would probably be to secure it as well. He may not have known that the cops were there. Like I said, it was just really bad circumstances all coming together at once.

Yeah guy sounds like a moron. Plus Facebook says he graduated high school in 1992 and worked for USPS since 1997. Probably wasn’t a combat vet so not sure why it says Navy vet.

Yeah, that's pretty instinctive if you're used to carrying a firearm.

And a cop seeing someone reaching for a gun in the ground during a scuffle is likely going to shoot.
Just dumb to get involved in the fight with a poorly secured gun.

to an extent...He could have only handled a pistol in boot camp ten years earlier..He also doesn't conceal that weapon and having it in a holster on his cargo shorts looks terrible...
EDIT: looks like some info was updated while I was typing, but my statement still makes sense

I know. It was simply a bad situation where 2 natural reactions of self interest/preservation collided.

Also, why does it matter that he was in Navy?
Because if they hadn't included that then some people's first reaction would be "well he was probably a dindu."

Sad situation. Why is he intervening in a fight while he has a gun strapped to his side anyway? A whole lot of things can go wrong in that scenario.

based on his clothing, he has been itching for a situation like this...it obviously didn't turn out like he expected

Well, that stinks for everyone involved.
Dude was legit trying to do the right thing and keep his friend in the blue shirt from fighting, just a horrible set of circumstances played out, but based on the video, I can't really see placing blame on the officers.
If nothing else, you shouldn't be carrying a gun in public while you are drinking and/or while you're hanging out with people drinking IMO.

Drinking and carrying is retarded if not illegal.

I just hate the idea of open carrying. I honestly think it's just done to show off or act macho or some shite, I don't know. It just doesn't really make sense to me.
I can't possibly think any pros of open carrying outweighing the cons.

SMedium shirt that has a flag on the sleeve, cargo shorts with a holstered weapon...This screams guy who has been out for 20 years and needs something to go down so he can post it on facebook
