Would the cops do this when they are damn aware that EVERYTHING is being videoed, whether by the media or every one of those protesters' phones and body cams? I suppose but I'd have some serious reservations about taking this guy's word for it alone.

Showed it. It just shows him being arrested, no signs of altercation. Can't see his face so can't say if his face was beat up at that point in the video. Lady that filmed his was like, I didn't think to record until after they beat him up...so she's basically saying he was beat up and by the time she thought to record they stopped and were just arresting him.
His lawyer said his client has a criminal record but that's irrelevant to this issue.
I'm sure he wasn't fighting at all. Probably one of the idiots that had a gun confiscated that day.

They did show his booking picture and he was beat up in it. He was also brought to hospital before booking.

If any of that had happened, you would have 30 videos of it posted 30 seconds after it happened.
