People would not give cops so much shite if cops didn't act like they go to war everyday, and pretend they are some part of the military. Did you see the video of the cop trying to get someone to apologize for flipping off another cop. The cop was screaming "you need to apologize to my brother I go into battle with everyday." That mindset is what most people hate. Also 2013 was the safest year ever to be a cop, and 2014 was the fourth safest. Homicides against cops have been going down for decades, while cops killing citizens are way up. We need the videos, and we need to retrain cops that America is not a war zone.

This is a serious question. How is a half way rolled down window unsafe? It seemed like they could pass the ticket book back and forth pretty easily. I guess I could understand if it was a stolen vehicle perhaps, but I'm not sure it appears any more unsafe than a completely rolled down window.

Ummm, I'm not trying to be a defender of cops going out and shooting people, but the statistics as you state them show a positive correlation between cops shooting citizens and it being safer for police officers. I don't know if I'd use that argument

I'm definitely socially liberal, and I love seeing videos of cops doing a fanatic job at handling an escalating situation, like this cop did. These guys have a lot of power to make your life hell, and I'd love to see more of these, and know that most cops are well trained and handling things like they should. It's a tough, important job that must exist, but needs to be monitored. With as much power as they have, I want them to be great at their job.
It makes me wonder why cops and numerous police departments and unions are against them. On both sides of the political spectrum, trust in authority is at an all-time low. Transparency is the only tool we have to combat the problem.
Imagine if there was video of the Michael Brown incident? How much hell could have been avoided for the town of Ferguson? But when the situation relies on hearsay, people will continue to be skeptical.
Cops should be required to wear cameras throughout their entire shift. Have them pick a camera up as they leave the station, and drop it off when they come back. No tampering our reviewing it for themselves. It will keep the cops honest, and help them if they are being unfairly blamed by a citizen for improper conduct.

She's an idiot, but he wasn't asking about her back windows. He was talking about rolling down the front. All a little excessive for me for a traffic citation. I would have just said yes sir and went about my day, but just bc someone else wouldn't doesn't mean that was not excessive.
Where does it say I have to roll my window all the way down? If I don't they can break it? That's too much unless I've shown I am a threat.

Body cameras will put 10,000 minorities in prison for every 1 crooked cop they catch. How in the world can the liberal leadership support a system with odds like this? It defies logic.
