I don't understand what would prevent a woman who's trying to trap a man from just hiding the pregnancy, or denying that she's pregnant if the man gets suspicious. Can a guy just have a standing "opt-out" request?

C'mon stop with the excuses, put a frickin jimmy on ur soldier and u have nothing to worry about.

It's the tweedle dicks who think they can shoot their wads in every bitch who end looking stupid when she says she's pregnant.

A man can not be fooled into impregnating a woman, unless he chooses to go in with out a jimmy hat. And u are the dumbass, u didn't get fooled into anything but pussy and unprotected sex. U are the dumbshit

Hold the motherfricking phone!

Aren't we supposed to be emulating Sweden (according to progressives)? Yet, feminists and pro-abortion types flip their shite when you even try to use 20 weeks as a trigger for any type of restriction on abortion. The paragons of European socialism actually OUTLAW it 2 weeks earlier?

Meh...let him opt out. Any guy who would do this is probably going to opt out at some point anyway. Better to know before you start counting on him to be a father or the kid gets used to him being around.

law is not cool

man should not be able to opt out after the woman cannot legally opt out. 18th week is well into 2nd trimester

Either way, the baby is the one that really loses here.

Men and women already cut themselves out, men especially, move around from job to job trying to avoid wage garnishment for child support.

Some women that do receive child support, arent spending that money on their children.

This little stipulation i dont think would change a damn thing, other than protecting men from crazy women.

Ehh i have had girls ask me to go inside them. Trust me, i wont get pregnant they say. Thats usually when I stop and and sit and wonder how many dudes she says this to.

Plus maybe it will also make the females more responsible, they too are the ones having sex. It's not just the man's fault.

Friend of mine brought up in interesting point. Without child support, we the taxpayers will likely be picking up the tab.

Just another scenario where personal responsibility both before and after need to be exercised.

Likely? The responsibility to raise the child would absolutely fall on the taxpayer? Can you imagine if we in the US told every irresponsible broke-dick that they
could impregnate as many women as will allow them to do so, without any repercussions? I mean, most do anyway because they know someone else (i.e. the taxpayers) will financially support the child, but at least there is a concern that will be forced to pay child support.

It also brings up an interesting discussion. Why can't a man choose to have his child aborted, or at least chose not to? Is it not just as much his child as the woman's? If the goal is true equality, shouldn't each parent be able to express their choice?

If a woman can choose whether to become a parent or not after conception then men should have that right as well....equal protection under the law right.
