How about the people who turn left off Perkins at College red light but also all of the dumbasses who come out of the gas stations and Benny's and block the turning lane?

I watched some dumbass turn left onto College out of the Walgreens parking lot. The dipshit held up a full light cycle worth of traffic as he tried to make his way across four lanes and wait until oncoming traffic subsided so he could pull through. People like that need their license revoked.

I avoid left turns on Perkins like the plague. Those people who try to turn left out of McDonald's near the College/Perkins light and the asshats who let them out, thus delaying 100 at a time, need classes in general thinking 101.

Lol wow

We were in Kentucky on our way to Indiana for Christmas. We are having a peaceful easy drive until this idiot comes flying up my arse, so I get in the right to let him pass. I get back over in the left lane and guess what state the license plate is from? Yep - Louisiana. True story.

The stereotype is for real. Btw, out of state drivers are waaaayyyy better

So you were camped out in the left lane? And then after he passed you got BACK in the left lane?

Nope. I was going between 80-90 mph. That's reasonable in the fast lane

It's not a fast lane, it's a passing lane.

Why don't they turn when the light turns red? That's how we do it up here with our simple 4 Lanes

I hate the person that sits at the light and doesn't even attempts to pull up

It's not a fast lane. You should only be in that lane when you are actually passing someone. That way no one has to come up behind you and wait for you to get over.

I think he's talking about people who have a left turn arrow, proceed to turn while the arrow is green, but the street they're turning onto is backed up so they can't clear the intersection before their arrow turns red.
This makes it so they're sitting in the middle of the intersection blocking others from going when their light turns green.

It's usually like 2-3 cars who do this, so sometimes several lanes of traffic are blocked because the dumbasses are in the middle of the intersection not moving.

Sigh

I am in the left lane with my cruise control set at 85 passing most cars in the right lane. The only time I have to move over is when a driver doing a 100 is coming up on my arse. No one is waiting for me to get over except the guy driving 100. At the point he gets behind me is when I can’t get over because of cars in the right lane and I have to find the first opening.

Are you understanding now?

Our green turn arrows light up after the green light. Not before. So people don't block traffic

Edit: but I've heard and read that Baton rouge traffic is a bitch so I guess I can understand the hang up

You didn't say any of that in your OP. You called the driver you had to get over for an idiot. What made him an idiot? And said the stereotype is real. I don't get it. Was he wrong for being in the left lane and doing 100, and wanting you out of his way?

Cops literally sit at intersections in NYC to ticket for this. It’s a money making racket, like speed traps in the south at the end of the month, but one I actually enjoy seeing enforced.

Don’t block the box, baw

He is in the proper lane to zoom on by, but he can be a little patient as I find an opening to get over. He was impatient and aggressive, which is what you see a lot of in Baton Rouge.
