You know what else can cause that? Stress. Making the man nervous about getting the vaccine probably doesn't help. Puts him in a no-win situation and that anxiety can have terrible physiological effects. A healthy 86 is still 86.

Why is it just about your mom?
Getting the vaccine definitely saved someone's mom, as did the lockdowns.
Do you not see how flawed your line of thinking is?
Just because your mom died, doesn't mean people shouldn't get the vaccine. Just because someone's mom didn't die from COVID, doesn't mean we should lockdown for a year.
Sentimentality doesn't fly. Statistics do. Hardly anyone is dying from the vaccine.
Get the vaccine and quit thinking everything is a fricking conspiracy theory.

I agree that herd immunity will keep the most people from dying. I’m not against the COVID vaccine. My argument is that people should make their own choices based on the information they have and whatever personal factors come into play.
I am against forced vaccinations, as well as forced lockdowns, and i have chosen not to get the vaccine. This is due to the fact that i have had the virus and therefore have *some* degree of natural immunity, as well as the possibility that whatever made her susceptible to dying from a vaccine reaction may be genetic.
As far as vaccine immunity vs natural immunity, i have read the data. This vaccine has been in use by the public for less than 6 months. Time will tell if the superior immunity holds up. I may make a different decision in the future depending on any new information. Until then, you can’t force me to get the vaccine and i won’t force you not to.

The lockdowns killed people and put people in poverty. There is no evidence that this vaccine has "saved" anyone. That's asinine.

There's evidence to the contrary or did you miss the repeated instances where the media, government, and Big Tech has censored and suppressed information over the past 15 months and were wholly wrong?

Nobody should get a vaccine for a virus that has a 99% survival rate. Why introduce more risk by taking a vaccine that is relatively untested and using new technology that has ZERO longterm studies? This is not conspiracy theory. It is risk assessment.

How did closing restaurants and businesses kill someone?
Did people commit suicide? Sure.
But saying the lockdowns killed them is like saying someone who died from something else during COVID was killed by COVID.

My parents are just slightly younger than that and had the shot with no side effects at all. OTOH it put me on my arse for two days and it felt like Braxxtyn used my arm for batting practice.

His entire post is spot on.
Does the vaccine that you are pressuring people to get work or not?
Yes or no?
If so, why do I need to get vaccinated when the old and "at risk" can simply get themselves vaccinated and therefore they are protected?
Posted on 5/26/21 at 6:19 pm to blueboxer1119
It doesn't make a shite to me whether you get vaccinated or not, and the risk of vaccine resistant variants emerging from the unvaccinated seems to be not panning out. However, there's a certain population of people who can't get vaccines or for whom vaccines don't work; eg, transplant recipients, etc. I know a guy who had Guilaune Barre syndrome and he can't ever get a vaccination of any kind. Everybody else getting vaccinated helps them too. Does that mean you should get vaccinated? Again, that's up to you. I'm not one to force people against their will. Just saying that you'd be doing those people a favor.

I'm not pressuring anyone to get it, but it does work.

You don't, which is why a large majority of the country has seen plummeting cases, deaths, and therefore removed restrictions.
Now, onto his post:
quote:

Arguing that "the vaccine hasn't saved anyone" is pants on head retarded. The vaccine is incredibly effective at protecting people from contracting the virus, and even more effective at lessening symptoms if they do happen to catch it. Very, very few people have died from COVID after being vaccinated and based on evidence, it's likely they contracted the virus before receiving the vaccine.
quote:quote:

Hardly anyone is dying from the vaccine. If your only retort to this is that people are dying in masses from the shot and there's a massive conspiracy to keep it quiet, you're a conspiracy theorist and should be ignored. There is zero evidence that people are dying, much less in large numbers, due to the vaccine.
quote:

As far as we know, the vaccine has a lower risk of causing injury or death than COVID. The idea that we wouldn't vaccinate or take medicine for something that's easily survivable is nonsense. Do you take ibuprofen for headaches? Do you take antacids for heartburn? Headaches and heartburn won't kill you, so why are you taking medicine that greatly increases your risk? See how silly that sounds?
The idea that we can't safely take a vaccine until we've had decades of studies making sure there are no long term effects is a requirement that no medicine or treatment goes through. Yes, we should and will continue to study and monitor these things, but it's asinine to say that it's required before we can safely use it.

What about the flu vaccine? Why is it standard for healthcare workers to get it every year?
Do you ever cite legitimate medical research or just post shitty conspiracy blogs that support your fricked up world view? I was skeptical about the vaccine and held off on getting it. As more info came out it appears safe and I got it. I’m glad I did. Hanging out with my grandparents is nice.

My grandparents would have laughed in my face had I told them I wasn’t coming over because of COVID, but my grandparents weren’t indoctrinated lemmings willing to sacrifice what little time they had left based on the contradictory words of unelected bureaucrats from another country.
