I would have whipped his arse and told cops he came onto your property being threatening

I know everyone thinks I should give him a five knuckle shuffle, but I would seriously feel bad. He is always drunk and is just a scrawny little hermit man. It would be like beating up your grandfather.

Pay some neighborhood kid $350 to mow your backyard three times a day for a month.

I would never suggest to anyone to wait for him to leave the house and go pull his electric meter.
Illegal and potentially dangerous.

So you live in an apartment or condo with a shared wall?
I used to share a wall with a band I knew who would record at all hours of the night. fricking blast beats against my wall at 3am. When it wasn’t that, I also had to hear one of them banging their fat troll of a gf. shite sucked.
Move into a single family dwelling.

The same reason I would never suggest pulling his HVAC disconnect in the early morning hours...

Based on how you’ve handled this… my grandfather would’ve whipped your arse.

That's the crazy thing. I live in a single-family household in a decent neighborhood in Metairie. Our homes are completely separate. That's how loud he plays this shite. I can hear it from my bedroom OVER my sound machine I got to try and drown out his music.

You fight fire with fire. Back in college when my neighbors played their music too loud I just turned up my stereo system that was 5 times more powerful than theirs. I could knock photos off the wall if I wanted to.

Anytime I left the apartment I would turn my stereo on full blast facing his walls.

Sounds like you need to pick up the 6a-8p shift and blast one very annoying song on repeat.

Get the Miami Sound Machine and you won’t hear his shite over yours.

You have to make it your personal hobby to call the police. It's the only legal recourse. Illegally, you could frick his arse up a few times.

Quickly, and not waiting 3 fricking years… I would’ve asked politely but sternly in the first few weeks. My point would have been made.
Failing that, then turn up the heat if you have an HOA.
If none of that worked… silent retaliation….

Those houses are very close. That explains why it's so loud.
I lived in well established BR neighborhood a few years back before moving to my current home. We had a neighbor who would blare music outside while they were hanging out by their pool. It was incredibly loud. But they had a baby. So I just set up a 100W speaker in the back yard and let it play all day until they got the message.

No HOA
I tried politely. It would stop for a week then pick back up. Not sure what silent retaliation I could conjure up. I honestly don't want to retaliate. I don't think he deserves that much of my time. But I've reached my breaking point and now willing to give up my time to make it stop.
