College teams have a huge variety of colors, but 80 percent of MLB teams wear blue.

Why?

And it’s usually navy. Is this a merchandising thing?

Because blue is usually most people's favorite color.

That’s the only color they had available when MLB started

Bigger issue: college sports and the overuse of "Tigers."

There's LSU, Auburn, Missouri, Clemson, Memphis, Princeton, Grambling, Tennessee State, Savannah, Jackson State, Texas Southern, and Towson.

Except for Princeton (NJ) and Towson (MD), all are in SEC states...

I just assume they’re going to lose any time these are worn.

SEC schools don’t use the color green.

And really most of the greens are a neon or puke green like Oregon or Baylor. No forest or dark green around.

The biggest travesty was Atlanta letting Jerry Glanville change the Falcons from that sharp red to black.

Not many schools do. The list is fairly short:

P5's
Michigan State
Oregon
Baylor

G5's
Tulane
Marshall
North Texas
South Florida
UAB
Hawaii
Colorado State

(Feel free to add to this list if I've missed any)

ETA: Additional teams. Hat-tips to Chitown_Badger and BCLA.

I've made the same joke before, in reply to posts about the NZ team, and no one gave a shite. For some reason it's getting a lot of response here.
