I think they will stagger school day
Half go in morning
Half go in afternoon
Maintain distance
With continued online support

Large congregations like football and other events will not happen

I think a lot of folks are going to rethink home schooling. My son is done with his work for the day in 45 minutes. He does it by himself and no one has to tell him to do it. He is self motivated and likes to read so it's not that hard.

Schools (private and public) have been intentionally told to keep the workload "light" for students during this. Actual home school, done right, has a lot more content.

Yep. We were told to cut back to 30 minutes a day. Then 30 every other day following parent complaints. Usually an hour a day, per class.

My 6th grader’s class work yesterday consisted of “what would be a good name for my unborn baby?” from one of her teachers.

In AL, officials are now running through the situation of no kids physically at school in the fall.

Also, even at $10k per year x 4 years = $40k,

Where do kids only go to school for 4 years?

Public school kids can't work hard and get scholarships?

There's just so much wrong with your post

Our school obviously did not get this memo... Our kids (k & 2nd) have between 3-4 hours of school work per day.

So odd to me that LA people send their kids to private school. Such a waste of money IMO. And weird.

It’s cheaper, but it’s definitely not better

We have done both. Currently they are in Private school but we are strongly considering going back to homeschooling. We love the school but it is true that they can tackle the same workload in half the time if they are at home. I think a percentage of people wanted to try homeschooling but were afraid they would fail are now seeing they can do it. I expect the number to go up

Where are you from?

Have you seen the academic performance of most of the public schools in LA?

I know several people that are home schooling their kids. Their kids actually seem more academically advanced than my niece and nephew that attend Catholic school.
