Nah, Che. I am just saying exactly what you said.
Take it up with yourself.

Based on what? Are you saying a rise in labor price is going to be linearly related to a rise in price?

We are too dumb and poor to think on his level
The kicker is that he needed loans to go to the state school in the stupidest and poorest state he likes to rail on.
Hes a short angry dickhead as a result
I dunno if his attacks on me in here are from a thread a day or two ago where this got pointed out or if he is just being his usual a-hole self

Translation: the mall is closed and his little kiosk in front of Ulta is now selling cell phone cases and fake gold watches.

Not all, but definitely you

You could, you choose not too. You make up your mind on something and are the shining example of conformation bias.
I would love to be wrong on many things that I think and seek data to try to change them

A little bit of both

The only things I HAVE on that list is gasoline and electricity... the rest I can do without.

It's not inflation, it's stimulation.

A rise in one input is not linear to price of your product.
Maybe not linear, but government aided wealth increases via stimulus payments and large unemployment benefits are in direct competition with a free market. If restaurants are "forced" to pay more to hire back their own employees, they will absolutely pass that on to the consumer.
Add in the increased costs of raw goods and restaurants will struggle without increasing prices. The money for said wages comes from selling food.

Not necessarily linear, but yes, raises in labor costs will almost always be passed to the consumer.
I live on the Washington/Idaho border... One has a $13 minimum wage that will be $15 soon, while the other has a $7.25 minimum wage. Guess which state is cheaper for nearly all service industries.

The stimulus payments generally not been wealth increases. Theyve done what they were designed to do, be spent on consumer goods. Arguing the merits of those payments is a totally different discussion.

There hasn't been a free market in the US, really ever, again we can discuss the merits of this particular intervention but acting like there was a free market 18 months ago is misguided.

They aren't "forced," they can do a multitude of things, including keeping their wages the same

Of course, but again, this is a totally different conversation.

More labor intensive. More labor required for the product, the greater the increase in pricing.
So, min wage hikes affect the labor portion of the price, everything else stays constant. Thats kinda dicey since labor affects every aspect of the product, but the rise isn't proportional.
Progs believe that companies will take the wage hikes out of profit, which is really dumb.

Almost certainly, absolutely not. Could it? Yes, but there are several ways to mitigate a rise in wages that would not include raising prices

One state also has a much wider B&O tax, more costs of doing business as well. How much of the price differece is related to the difference in minimum wage? I don't know the answer, but I do know that the labor costs are only a component and I would guess not that big of one.
