It happened with Obama often. The only difference is the only Media outlet you saw it with Obama was Fox. Now it's what you viewed as the more reputable are now doing it with Trump, so it seems more widespread.

I'd also throw in alternative news sources and local/satellite radio. Nowadays on both sides of the political coin. You can pretty much get whatever truth that suits you. Which is kind of bizarre since we live in the information age.

I think there is merit to the point that more media outlets are left leaning than right so it becomes an echo chamber when a republican is in the White House. That’s why it seems like it’s so much more widespread when it may be just that it’s louder.
