$4.6 T in stimulus
143 million taxpayers
What is that $30,000-$40,000 apiece?

Don’t watch or read either. Stop regurgitating the same insult. It’s pathetic and shows your ignorance.

In nod to Sanders, Biden looks to adopt more progressive policies
WASHINGTON — On his first day as the apparent Democratic nominee, Joe Biden is extending another olive branch to backers of his more progressive rivals, announcing his intent to expand access to Medicare and forgive loan debt for many students.

He didn’t say Biden was super progressive. He said this administration was. The things this administration has said it has wanted to do has been very progressive.
Look at the cabinet nominations. Look at the executive orders (not coming form Biden. He’s just a figurehead.) look at the regulations.

The people who he owes his allegiance to are progressive.
When Biden went to Atlanta to convince Asians they have been attacked by whitey and there is no hope unless they join the progressive club, I saw how quickly that senile old bat sold out.
Your party is the issue, period.

I don't think Biden is dictating the agenda. He doesn't seem to really know where he is half the time.

And they're still not progressive. $15 minimum wage seems to be lip service, no call to end the wars, no call to legalize marijuana, no call the green new deal, and certainly no call for UBI. I'm not saying I want all of these but these are some basic progressive ideas that the Biden administration has said no to or been very silent on. People need to stop throwing around the word progressive it's getting overused

We have truly crossed the great divide in rhetoric
Used to be that neither party wanted to admit that they wanted to raise taxes.
Now democrats run on the promise

We have been arguing for lower taxes. As they were lowered commerce picks up, increasing wages, increasing spending, increasing overall amount of taxes for government to spend, they just get a smaller percentage.
that didn't happen after the last round of corporate tax cuts. they got a lower total amount while the corps spent record amounts on stock buybacks

Historically he has not been, but his first few months in office have been the most progressive initial months in my lifetime. He keeps going down this road and he'll be the most progressive president since Kennedy or FDR.

As for the taxes, Biden’s main priority will be to raise the corporate rate from 21 percent to 28 percent.
there are always workarounds.
i've got federal corporate income tax credits running back four years

I don't know how old you are but that isn't really saying much
Biden seems to be giving progressives lip service and may pass the $15 minimum wage, but expecting something like M4A, legal marijuana, or green new deal is pretty out there.
The establishment has been giving the progressives more and more crumbs but hasn't truly buged on anything big

You said earlier in this thread that raising corporate tax rates wouldn’t be the death knell of this country/economy and on its own I agree. But if you increase corporate tax rates AND implement a mandatory $15/hr minimum wage, that most certainly would be devastating. Small business couldn’t compete
