The headline on this story doesn't explain the whole article and video, but what if this dude coached your kids?
What if your kid played for this guy?

Former Player Says "Insane" Prep School Coach Mike Woodbury Used To Call Teenage Female Players "Sperm Banks"

Following the publication of an audio recording in which prep school basketball coach Mike Woodbury said, “I’m gonna frick you in your arse” to one of his former players, other people who played for Woodbury in the past are coming forward with their own stories of his abusive behavior.

The Press Herald talked to two former youth basketball players who were coached by Woodbury when he was working in Maine. One former player, Emily Rousseau, recalled Woodbury referring to the girls on his team as “sperm banks” and making racist comments to a black player:
quote:
“He several times referred to us as sperm banks. Yep, when we were 15,” she said. “If he wanted us to go into a game he would pull our ponytail and drag us to the scorer’s table. We had an African-American girl on our team and he said if she didn’t start playing better there would be a hate crime.”
quote:
Another former player, Andrew Shaw, recalled an incident in which Woodbury told a player who was performing poorly that he should jump off a bridge. “He certainly scarred me, and I know he scarred some of my teammates far worse than me,” Shaw told the Press Herald.

Sounds like every coach I played for. We weren't addicted to being offended.
Nonetheless, you gotta know better in 2018.

Clearly a classy guy using the sperm epithet rather than the classic cum dumpster, which I think is a more accurate euphemism.

What an idiot. He and I would have problems if he talked to one of my daughters like that.

Also how about a link? Where is this? Why is this not a national news headline?

Meh, I would hope I raised my kid to not be offended by trivial shite.

It's one think of a coach is just yelling "coach talk", but in the video he is telling that kid how he controls him and how he would frick him in the arse of he showed the text he apparently had.
And to tell teenage females they are sperm banks..
That's crossing the line IMO.

Kids today couldn’t have played for my high school coach. Motivation was different then I guess.

Yeah I agree with you. But let me even out the playing field...
My first head coach had a paddle with holes in it. He wouldn't spank. He hit. And my parents and my boys' parents were ok with it.
He was 6 foot and about 250 mostly muscle. And he called us "candy arse" and "queer boy" and "pussy" and we just thought it was normal. No matter what we did wrong, he and his staff were in the right and our parents also believed that. We were with our coaches and teachers 15 hours a day from early morning lift to practice end. The parents just assumed they were in charge in their place. At the same time, they still loved us.
A generation later...opposite. cell phones and liberalism and social media and voila...the real pussies our coaches referred to? It is us and the way we protect our kids. U went through the ringer. I am still here and not in therapy.

He must be an OT poster with those kind of zingers.

That’s technically not a racist comment. It’s more of an observation of where our criminal justice system has fallen in regards to assaults against African Americans.

When I played HS football, if someone got hurt, coach would ask if it was their pussy that hurt. Hurt and injured were two different things.
