Premium Parking New Orleans parking ticket

I got a letter in the mail that I overstayed my time limit at premium parking and needed to pay a $65 fee.
The ticket seems to imply that Orleans Parish municipal parking services is sending the ticket. I think it looks shady.
Can anyone confirm that since it was a private lot, the city won’t boot my car on the street? I never go downtown or use premium parking so I don’t plan on paying a parking ticket to a private company.

Last time I pulled into one, a homeless man came over and told me that after 7PM or some shite I could park right outside the lot. Told me he lived right across the street. I told him if he'd keep an eye on my truck and if it was still there when I got back, I'd take care of him. Got back around 1AM and he was on the sidewalk waiting.
Money much better spent.

Premium Parking is a private company that operates in multiple cities.

That used to be a big deal when we went to Nicks in the hood. The "locals" would sit outside their shacks and offer to let you park your car in their yard and they would protect it for a fee. Half up front $5 and half at the end of the night $5. Then the same people would rob all the cars parked on the street so people were compelled to use their "service". Protection racket at its finest.

You're lucky you didn't get booted. Those lots operate at mafia level. Not sure how enforceable a ticket from a private lot is. May not be able to park there again.
