Actually he was closer than that. Someone in the twitter thread posted the livestream when the tornado seemed within 20 yards

It was looking pretty bad earlier. Dude staying with us survived the one here and is headed to Tyler for a Disc golf tournament there tomorrow.

Wow. I’m no expert, but I didn’t need to be to spot the CC dropout on that one. Like from one frame to the next.
Hopefully people in the area were on top of the warnings and took shelter.
