I'll say the charges are dropped or she is found not guilty. You can have all the other possibilities in the world. For $100.

The law doesn't allow for the use of force to detain someone over theft of property.
I doubt this is accurate. Are you saying that if I catch someone in my house I can't grab ahold of him until the police get there?

I'd bet you anything that if the charges are dropped, it's only because she's pregnant.
You cannot use your vehicle as a weapon unless you feel your life is in danger. Chasing someone down in your vehicle is not feeling like your life is in danger.

Braswell is also facing a charge: misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon.
Probably the right charge because you can't do that, but totally worth it.

You can't run someone down with a car because they swipe your purse. Several years ago there was a Asian business owner who chased a shoplifter who stole a couple bottles of booze. Shop owner smoked the dude in the parking lot and he got 10 years. You can't run a guy down in the parking lot because he stole your purse. Yeah he's a shitbag but you better use your head too.
you should be able to.

You can kill the person you catch in your house, but that is a different scenario

You'll lose because the DA would never have the balls to say that. It would be an insult to pregnant women, or women, all over the world. I'm sure this is already being celebrated in feminist circles that a woman took the matter into her own hands.

The most shocking part of this story is that it didn't happen in Florida.

So, what is it like living life as a total puss? Just curious.

The law hates it when the common folk take matters into their own hands because they can't do their job and keep these idiots off the streets.
She needs to have the charges dropped. You steal, you get what's coming to you.

Let's just leave it at the guy should have never stolen the purse in the first place and none of this would have happened. Case fricking closed.
She's obviously no horrible person like the criminal, there's no comparison there. But you can't allow people to do these things. In a perfect world/scenario, sure. But this was in a parking lot, this could have gone down horribly if she had ran over a couple of kids or something.

If you don't want to either get killed or risk getting killed

Is he dead?
Or better put to this scenario, would you be ok with someone shooting at a bad guy in a parking lot with bullets possibly flying by your and your kids' head?

A jury of common sense people would never convict her of anything.

But let's not act like she wasn't reckless and possibly put the lives of others(not just the scum criminal) in danger.
Process vs results.
