This wasn't "the State".
This was two individuals in a moment in time.
One person pointed a gun at a person who happened to be quicker on the draw.
Now, all of this may be proven true or untrue once time has passed and all the facts come to light, but as of now, it is what it is.
They were agents or representatives of the State doing the state's business on behalf of the state. If they weren't they were simply criminals themselves. No one is suggesting they weren't agents of the state when they shot the kid. The fact that they were agents of the state is the only thing keeping everyone from calling them murderers.

Ah yes. Marxist sees an example of what he thinks, makes universal proclamations.
It takes an incredible leap or mental illness to tie economic theory to a desire to make the job of the police safer and more efficient....good show. Look out, the commies have gotten you...you are their bitch LOL...they own your very mind.

Somebody who has zero critical thought.
Someone breaks into my house and starts yelling “police”, there is a significant chance I grab the bedside pistol before confirming it is actually the police.
Performing these raids need to have a reasonable risk/benefit ratio. Doing this for a kid selling some weed is moronic. Utterly, completely moronic.
The person they were targeting showed them ID and surrendered outside the home. He didn’t flee or anything. Why couldn’t they just wait outside and arrest him while he came and went?
Does anyone want to address this? This has nothing to do with the kid who got shot. He pointed a gun at police and got shot which is completely predictable and appropriate. Why did the police feel the need to raid this house?

1. Kid never fired at the police
2. Police executed early morning raid for individual who wasn’t there, and the “drug selling operation” amounted to a possession charge. Not even an intent to distribute charge.
So really, in the end the police had no business being there. But all the bootlickers in this thread will keep celebrating infringements on our individual freedoms. The they call themselves conservatives

So you would be OK with a civillian kicking in the kids door, proclaiming they were cops and when the kid pulls a gun on the civilians in question they shoot the kid and they are not murderers? You'd be okay if this happened to you? The only thing keeping them from being labled murderers is the fact that they were cops in the process of doing their duty.

I'm honestly surprised criminals don't pose as cops doing raids. You're supposed to disarm yourself when you hear them say "POLICE!", so thats not real hard to mimmic. Put some police vests on and you're golden.

But if they announce, you point a gun at them, its on you.

Of course not. Instead they want to sky scream that you questioning police polices that put other cops and civilians in danger just means you're a dirty librul that wants to defund the police.
Notice none of the posters here crying about Marxists, LIBS, or anything else have yet to actually speak on how the police department should be help culpable as a government agency that has embraced poor policies that put all of us in danger.

body cam footage is critical
did they continually announce themselves as they went through the house? did they tell the teenager to drop the weapon?

This thread is full of blacks, social justice warriors, the white guilt crowd, cop haters, and potheads. What did you expect?

They can point their weapon directly at military personnel, and our ROE prevents our soldiers era from firing until actually fired upon.
So when special forces does raids on houses or looking for terrorists, they have to get fired on first? I’m not in the military but I guess every single show I watched has been wrong.

Can we also agree that there was no need for that raid in the first place? That early morning raids are extremely dangerous. That many times(including this one) they don’t even end up wit who or what they were after?

WTF? then why are you arguing?
Your posts in no way reflect that.
Why did you want to know what was in my house when it was raided?
