Talk about putting things into perspective.

Tonight I thought it was a pain in the arse getting my kids to sleep. Thought about how my back hurt, and how the bills need to be paid. Thought about how it sucks that it's warming up again after that heavenly cool snap because it makes me look forward to taking my son out on the land this fall for his first deer season, and that made me think about Christmas morning, and then beautiful spring weather, and then doing it all over again this time next year, and there being no last chapter with my sweet wife and I and our little life.

But you've just now reminded me that I don't know a damned thing about perspective.
