Funny you say that, she asked for us to bring Roger Miller records, before she became unresponsive (she went through an old country phase during disco) and loved classic rock. We have several vinyls we are bringing. I can't yet think that this is an Earthly good-bye. .

Prayers for you and your family. I just went through this in December. My dad had glioblastoma. We found out on November 12th that his cancer had spread to his spinal column, by Thanksgiving he was barely mobile and only coherent ~50% of the day, and he passed on December 2nd.

My wife's brother just passed away less than two months ago. He was given two weeks to two months to live and his wish was to make it pass Christmas so his grand kids and his children would not have to think about him dying on Christmas or right around there. He made it til Dec 30th surrounded by his family. He was 59 years old. Cancer sucks. Prayers to you Liz and your family.

As someone who's cares for enough icu patients to last a lifetime, I truly believe they can hear you. Tell them everything, they'll have closure and so will you.
