I think this data is from 2012.

Wikipedia's source claims its from the 2010 census but I obviously haven't verified that.

I love it here it’s serene & quiet, but still close enough to BR to not make our commutes miserable.

St Charles Parish has already been named the wealthiest Parish in the state a few months ago.

Those are all plant baws.

Tons of plant baws in Ascension but also a lot of wealthy people that work in BR but prefer the burbs. I know the CFO and CIO of my company both have big houses in AP.

The best thing about AP is that their schools from what I hear are as good as advertised.

I don't see how. I work in St Charles, on a plant, and have yet to see even one house that I would live in. Doesn't seem to be a single new construction home in the area since the 80s.

Yeah I’m sure shooting up and crashing under a random
Interstate overpass is much better

I hate to bust your balls, but you did flop them on the table when you posted the pic of your house.

I’m sure you spent a small fortune on your McMansion, and the grass looks tight, but honestly, that house is ugly as frick.

Why is the house hiding behind that monstrosity of a garage? It looks bigger than the house and the first thing anyone sees from the curb are those 3 vomit yellow garage doors and the dormer window that doesn’t match. It sticks out like a zit on your house’s nose.

Sorry bro.

This is a really stupid statement.

Point being, just from driving around the parts I do, I highly doubt St. Charles parish has the highest income per capita in the state.

New housing starts =/= household income.

And I assume you’re in Norco, Taft?

If St Charles had the highest income per capita, you'd still have people renovating their houses yet all the one's I see haven't had an update since they were built.

Luling. Maybe Norco is a little more modern.

Destrehan, Luling, and Montz all have median household income levels above 75k.

Eta I believe Destrehan is 88k

A lot of Baton Rouge money moving down Oakland Drive in AP. A lot of Catholic High and U High regalia lately around that area. BMW’s, Audi, Mercedes and Porsche’s driving around that area as well. Also a bunch of doctors live back there.

No one knows it’s even back there.

Are you forgetting about the part of the parish on the west side of the river?

But overall I agree, there aren't a lot of huge homes in that area except for the preacher mans mega mansion on river road in Destrehan.

I take the 90 to get to Luling and have only really driven around Luling near my work site. I did have to go to the safety council in St Rose. For the most part, I drive into work when it's still dark then drive back across the Huey P when I get off.
