Deal with it, I've got a monster I'm trying to bring to life over here. Just a few more lightning strikes...

I'm at 42 and 73 and had the power surge twice. Was kind of hoping it would stay off a min or two to see if my generator kicks on

We had a power surge at my house Sunday in the st gabriel area and everything went out and everything came back on except our air condition. The power outage burned the ac blower motor and we just had to pay $750 to get our air condition back up and running now with this storm coming through making me nervous of another power surge especially paying $580 just for the motor to replace it.

You A/C blower motor was 580? I replaced mine myself and it was 120...that must be a big motor.

It is a regular size but in spanish lakes subdivision all the houses has the same carrier motor and they are the only ones who make it. One hour air wanted to charge us $1500 for everything and said the motor was $1200. Luckily the Maintance guy of at gabriel did it for us for a lot cheaper. He said he has been doing that for 40 years and never seen that kind of motor and was shocked he had to pay $580 to get the part. We have been out of ac since Sunday afternoon but we have been using the ceiling fans and plug in fans these last few days but I be damn if I had to pay $1500 for that.
